The Lake Brenton Residents Association was formed by a group of volunteers who wanted to make a difference in keeping Lake Brenton a safe and happy place for all its residents.
Lake Brenton, or as we like to call it “Knysna’s Best Kept Secret” is situated on the water’s edge towards the West Head of the Knysna Lagoon. Our tranquil and peaceful little village boasts a wide array of wildlife and natural fauna and flora. From the beautiful bush buck and bush pigs that roam freely, the incredible variety raptors and other birdlife, the famous Knysna Turaco, and the incredible fynbos that covers the land, all this beauty is on our doorsteps for us to enjoy.
At the water’s edge on the lagoon you will find boats, paddlers, fishermen and people who enjoy the great outdoors. We can truly say we are blessed to live in and be a part of such a diverse and unique environment, which we can call ‘home’.
The Lake Brenton Residents Association (LBRA) was formed by a group of volunteers who wanted to make a difference in keeping Lake Brenton a safe and happy place for all its residents.
We are a non-profit organisation that makes use of donations and a small annual fee which we utilise for projects as agreed to by the LBRA. These projects focus on areas which we believe benefit the community and its residents. We are always open to new ideas and happy to engage with the people of Lake Brenton. All information on budgets and projects is kept transparent and available for all residents’ perusal.
Lake Brenton consists of 6 areas: Lake Brenton Village; Brenton Park; The Woods; Brentonwood; Lake Brenton Estate and Ridgewood.

We rely on your support to keep our piece of paradise safe and beautiful. We ask all LBRA supporters to contribute by paying an annual membership fee of R500. In addition to this annual fee, we will need to raise funds for the more costly community projects. These projects are identified by supporters of the LBRA, and are aimed at improving our area. Any donations will be received with gratitude. Besides financial support, your time and expertise is also welcome.
If you would like to assist, or feel you could add value, please contact us. We rely on YOUR help to keep Lake Brenton a safe, happy and beautiful place to live.
